My name is Jan Dawson. I am passionate about pets and love painting portraits of them. Welcome to my home, Full Spectrum Creative Art Studio.
Our pets mean the world to us! I welcome the cozy, purring cuddles with our elder-kitty named Willow. I treasure my walks with our dogs, DD and Tommy. I love coming home to their greetings of waggly tails and wet nosey kisses. I greatly miss the pets we've lost.
I am intimately aware of the special bond folks have with their animal companions and I feel fortunate to be able provide photo-to-paint portraits of their cherished pets for them.
A hand painted pet portrait is a wonderful way to celebrate the joy an animal companion brings into our lives or to remember those we have lost. Family and friends will cherish the gift of a pet portrait for years to come.
I have enjoyed painting and drawing portraits since I was eleven years old. I am honoured and inspired by the gratitude expressed by pet owners upon receipt of one of my pet portraits. It would bring me joy to be able work with you to capture the essence of your precious dog, cat, horse, guinea pig ... or ... dare I say, lizard ... in a portrait using acrylic, pastel or pencil crayon.
